Arctic Terns

I spent a few hours down at the Talkeetna River today shooting photos of arctic terns.  These incredible birds just arrived in Alaska in the last few weeks and are now feeding pretty much continuously.  Their migration is one of the longest of any animal on earth moving between the arctic and the antarctic each season.
